Finlange was born out of desire to find original, comfortable and functional cloth nappies on the French market. Becoming a mother, Riina, the creator of Finlange had difficulties finding good quality hypoallergenic nappies that she could use for more than one baby.

At the same time, she discovered the advances of Northern Europe’s countries concerning this nature friendly approach to parenthood. Her native Finland had a lot to offer in terms of ecological baby care: beautiful, original items, all yet to be seen in France. In Finland a maternity pack including cloth nappies is offered by the State to each family expecting a baby. This helps Finnish families discover reusable nappies and saves money for the State and the families.

We wanted to share Riina’s findings and present you the gorgeous work of Nordic designers creating joyful products for children. Sustainable development plays a big part in their process of creation. This ecological awareness developed in the Scandinavian countries back in the 60’s and has since become truly a lifestyle.

The idea of this web shop having developed for over a year, the enterprise was finally born in March 2010 with the web shop going live in July 2010.

We propose a unique collection of Finnish baby care items respecting environment and babies fragile skin. The style represented is a mixture of Scandinavian elegance and eastern charm. The values important to Finns like the respect of nature or the functionality of everyday objects are reflected in our products. A part from cloth nappies, our selection includes wooden toys, organic clothes and soft toys, baby carriers, and wellbeing products for babies.

We have exclusivity on most of our brands and we are the official agent of Muru in France.

Riina travels regularly to her native country to visit expositions and to interact with her suppliers. She chooses personally all the boutique’s items and picks out all the favourites of Finnish parents. This allows us to propose you high quality items that merit your confidence.
